Apart from using the benefits offered by a modern heating sy stem, there’s a lot y ou
can do y ourself to make additional fuel s av ings. F or instance:
Proper ventilation
Do not overheat
Close window shutters (if installed) at
dusk.
Operate thermostatic valves
correctly.
Don’t obstruct radiators
and
thermostatic valves

Make use of the individual adjustment
facilities of the control unit

Set the domestic hot water
temperature of the DHW tank
on
the control unit

Control your consumption of hot
water.
Fully open the windows for a short
time with the thermostatic valves
closed.
Aim at a room temperature of 68 ºF /
20 ºC. Every ºC less in room
temperature will reduce your heating
costsbyupto6%.
e.g. ”normal room temperature”
alternating with ”reduced room
temperature”
A shower generally consumes less
energy than a bath.

Regular maintenance of your heating system by a service contractor will ensure
energy-saving and environmentally friendly operation.
